Commemorative Centenary Coin
On 15th May 2025, the Government of India officially announced the issuance of a special ₹100 commemorative coin to mark
the Centenary of Sri Ramanasramam. The coin will be minted in silver (99.9% purity). It will weigh 40 grams, with a
diameter of 44 mm, and feature 200 serrations along its edge. This commemorative coin is classified as numismatic,
distinguishing it from everyday currency. Numismatic coins typically hold historical significance or unique design
elements, making them especially appealing to collectors, historians, and those devoted to preserving cultural heritage.
